Preparing your device for ICAS

If your child is sitting ICAS with us at one of our testing locations in Auckland or Christchurch, you will need to make sure your child has a suitable device to use. Here are some key tips:

  1. Make sure your child has a device that meets the ICAS technical requirements. The iPad mini is not supported, and we do not recommend using a tablet or iPad for ICAS Writing.
  2. For ICAS Writing and Spelling Bee, install the latest version of locked-down browser Janison Replay. Please uninstall any previous version, then download and install the updated version.
  3. Make sure your child is familiar with how to use the device, including turning it on and off, connecting to WiFi, opening a browser, and typing in a website location.

If you have completed these tips, your child will have a much more successful experience with ICAS!
